An ideal solution when it comes to getting the girth tight enough so the saddle doesn't slip, but loose enough so the polo pony can breath.  As you can tighten the girth on just one girth strap, whereas on a conventional girth you have to have the allowance to be able to do both buckles a hole tighter.
 
The non-elasticated vs elasticated? When a girth is elasticated it allows for movement of the saddle, NOT a good thing for your horse's back.
